EMF release Reach For Something Higher EP ahead of their forthcoming tour: this brand-new EP is streaming digitally now and will be available as a four track vinyl collection and seven track CD.
To celebrate the release, EMF will hit the road for sixteen intimate club shows across the UK in 2026. The tour kicks off at The Cluny in Newcastle on Wednesday 11 March 2026 and concludes at The Garage in London on Saturday 16 March.
The Reach For Something Higher EP features 3 protest songs: The Day the Music Died (originally from The Beauty and the Chaos), two brand-new songs — Hands in the Air and LGBTQ+ Lover — and a remix of Depeche Mode’s classic Just Can’t Get Enough.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the new material, EMF said:
“EMF landed in the US in June scared of what we might find. We found hope and a will to stand up for democracy, equality and accountability and we wrote “Hands in the Air” and “LGBTQ+Lover” as a response to that.
We dedicate Hands in the Airto Led by Donkeys and their art activism and commitment to accountability.

Too many straight voices have been quiet, so LGBTQ+ Lover is for our family, friends, fans, and all those who feel increasingly unsafe.
As Stonewall says, ‘Our vision is of a world where everyone, everywhere, has equal rights.’

The Day the Music Died is about protecting the right to protest, and we encourage our fans to support this cause by signing the Greenpeace petition.

Playing live has always been a highlight for EMF and with the new songs from the EP added to live favourites from earlier in their career, the live set is rich and varied.
“After the success of our club tour in 2025 we decided to do more of this size of club where audience and band can commune in the act of rocking out. We are looking forward to playing a full headline set and including songs from all 5 of our studio albums. We will come up with some surprises: maybe a brand new song, a cover version that is relevant to the town we are playing or a special guest or 2. Can’t wait to see you out there! “- EMF
