Yorkshire metallers Godeth are launching themselves into 2025 with a literal blast thanks to their brand new single Fleshmonger.
The Leeds quartet, who are becoming increasingly known across the UK and beyond for their groove laden death metal, have unleashed Fleshmonger, perhaps the heaviest creation of the band so far, today – January 22nd.
Masters of the low end, with a focus on groove and power in their songs, Godeth have crafted their new single as the first follow up 2024’s EP The Path Of Destruction. A direct assault on the senses of the best kind from the first note to the last, Fleshmonger will have heads banging and fists pumping wherever it is played.
The video for Fleshmonger gives an insight into the energy of a Godeth live show; Filmed at Leeds’ legendary BOOM venue, it is chaotic, brutal, welcoming and very enjoyable – all at once.

Godeth give some insight into their new single Fleshmonger:
“We wrote Fleshmonger in just a few days – it came together quickly and naturally and that’s exactly the kind of raw energy we wanted to capture. It’s aggressively heavy, with a groove that we feel hits harder than anything we’ve done before. We truly believe it’s our strongest track yet. To match its power, we filmed the music video at the legendary Boom in Leeds—one of the city’s most iconic venues, closing its doors in 2025. It felt like the perfect place to bring this song to life – raw, intense, and full of attitude.
Fleshmonger’s lyrics express the disillusionment of forward-thinking individuals with the persistent warmongering of nations. War benefits the elite, who manipulate the masses to serve their interests. The average person shares more in common with the victims of war than with the corrupt leaders driving it. This dynamic is true across all “developed” nations. We’re stoked for everyone to hear it!“
Godeth have many live shows coming up over the next few months, giving you the chance to experience Fleshmonger in the flesh (pun intended), as well as their back catalogue of tracks including the aforementioned EP The Path Of Destruction, which was released last year.
These include various shows in the North of England over the winter months, as well as a trip north of the border to Scotland for shows in Dundee and Edinburgh in May. There’s also an appearance at Depravation Festival in Swindon at the start of September, with more shows to be announced soon!

About Godeth
Godeth emerged from the depths of Leeds with a sound that fuses the brutality of death metal, the raw intensity of hardcore, and the crushing weight of groove. Since their formation in 2018, they’ve crafted an ominous and bone-rattling presence in the UK metal scene. Tracks like “Solace” and “Coup de grace” resonate with haunting aggression, earning them airplay on BBC Radio 1 and a growing cult following.
Their live performances, including a menacing set at Bloodstock Open Air 2023, are known for their ferocity, leaving audiences in awe of their destructive power. Drawing from the darkness of bands like Slipknot and Gojira, Godeth conjures a visceral, apocalyptic sound that drags listeners into the abyss.
