The world’s ONLY Heavy Metal Marine Biologist, Tom Hird, a.k.a. The Blowfish, has announced that he is hosting and is also the expert on Netflix show ‘All The Sharks’ produced by L.A.-based Best Productions released next month.
‘All The Sharks’ shows competitors venture across the globe in search of sharks. Tasked with capturing on camera some of the ocean’s most incredible creatures, ‘All The Sharks’ is not just a thrilling adventure, this competition takes it to a whole new level by delving deep into the intricacies of strategy. Diving isn’t just a leisurely pastime here; it’s a calculated game of wits. The clock ticks, and every second counts as teams balance surface time and precious moments submerged. It’s about the art of time management, the finesse of scouting, and the knack for choosing the perfect hunting grounds. But each team’s unique strengths become their secret weapons! A free-diving crew might leverage their uncanny ability to plunge into the depths for extended durations, giving them the upper hand in scouting like no other. Meanwhile, a tech-savvy science team could adopt a high-tech approach, harnessing currents and weather buoys to plot their course. This competition’s got it all – a diverse cast of teams, each armed with their own superpower, ensuring a thrilling mix of strategies and tactics across the board.
“Getting to host ‘All The Sharks” for Netflix was a true honour, and one hell of a dive trip!! Being able to front such a unique and innovative show, whilst also being able to champion the cause of shark and ocean conservation was a huge opportunity and I’m glad to say that i took with both fins!! Travelling round the world, diving on the sharkiest sites the ocean has to offer, is the kind of trip that any marine biologist would dream of! I’m lucky enough to have lived it. Being able to guide the contestants along the way was a real treat. Being made up of such a wide mix of shark fanatics, it was incredible to see how different disciplines took on the challenges I set them. And when you consider that those challenges involved getting face to face with the Oceans most incredible, dynamic and powerful predators… well, it was no easy task for the teams. As a highly experienced Dive Master, I could see first-hand how they reacted to new situations and could offer advice when possible. All The Sharks is like nothing you’ve seen before, so buckle up, because you’re all in for one hell of a ride!!” THE BLOWFISH
