How did the band come together?
We had a change of drummer with Liam Collins. Alex Williams always wanted to play the Giffard arms in Wolverhampton and so joined us for a one of show, but we loved the sound with the four of us – with Martin Stanyer the Frontman and Laura Stanyer on bass. We all work vocal harmonies together and it took us into a heavier route.
What is your proudest moment to date?
Playing KK’s steel Mill was a huge highlight for the band. It has an incredible stage and sound and it was amazing to play as we often attend gigs there. So, it was amazing to play the same stage as some of our heroes. Also, playing Teddy Rocks festival with bands such as The Darkness.
What are the biggest challenges of being in an independent band?
Being an independent band is a lot of hard work , but hard work pays of and social networking is a massive part. Some venues you can’t get in, so we work with other bands, if they can get them they will put us on the bill and vice versa.
What are your views on the impact of streaming on bands?
Streaming is a way to get your music heard but sadly it does not pay well, and does not value the artist.
What’s next for the band?
Release of muthafucker with a music video and also we are doing another music video for our single angel eyes , a lot more gentle then muthafucker so it’s a nice contrast.
Our album Home is an album of our hometown Stafford, and seeing things change if you leave and come back but the same faces are still there.
We are a strong unit and each of our songs is different but has the Naked Sunday element to it. We write music that we believe in and is true to ourselves .
We have had our music used in horror films, which is also awesome. The track Lilith was used in film starring Ricky Tomlinson called Creatures of The Night. We also released a football song called We’re Gonna Win The Cup which beat Queen on the number 1 sales on Amazon for best selling songs, which was awesome. We like to have a lot of fun in the band and try new things.
