Seeing its original release in 1996, ‘Dusk…and Her Embrace’ is stalwartly evergreen as an indelible etch on both sonic and cultural extremes. Their first major release following signing to Music For Nations, the album spurred a paradigmatic revolution in the black, gothic and symphonic metal scenes as the band shed a fledgling rawness of their early materials and became increasingly at home in their newfound proprietorship of the macabre.
Hailed by Metal Hammer as one of the best symphonic metal albums of all time, tracks including “Heaven Torn Asunder”, “Funeral in Carpathia”, “A Gothic Romance” and the epic title track remain cornerstones of the band’s live setlist to this day and remain firm fan favourites. With lyrics which channelled classic Hammer Horror films and Suffolk witch-lore, Dani Filth delivered one of the most extreme vocals performances of his career.
To help mark the 30th anniversary Music For Nations are proud to present a well-deserved and much requested re-issuing of an immensely cherished, revered and celebrated masterpiece will now be available across a range of bespoke, deluxe and limited formats;
