In conjunction with the ‘Wires’ inspired t-shirt, Final Coil have also unveiled a new lyric video for the song – and it’s available to view at the Final Coil YouTube channel:

Speaking about the track and video Final Coil frontman, Phil Stiles, explains:

“The idea behind the song, with its repetitive refrain, was to focus on the horrifying belief that something is indeed alive within you. It’s a primal dread that Morgellons taps into, and I felt the lyric should reflect that. There are just three components – as befitting an illness that is poorly understood and based around belief as opposed to empirical evidence: the primal fear that something has infested your body; the equally unsettling notion that there is a “they” out there (be it a New World Order, secret elite, or what have you), that is manipulating this; and a fear (rather more rational in this instance), of Genetically Modified Organisms – GMOs. While I am not, in any way, linking GMOs to Morgellons, the emergence of monocultures certainly is concerning, and the concept – often poorly understood – helps to fuel the fires of those who believe there is an overarching global conspiracy in play.”

News will be arriving soon about physical copies of The World We Inherited, so watch this space!
