Lamb Of God Announced As BOA 2013 Headliner

No doubt the message boards are already lighting up with complaints, threats, crying and wailing, but we at SonicAbuse think it’s pretty damn awesome that the festival have got a headliner of the calibre of Lamb Of God. Following hot on the heels of Machine Head’s show-stopping headline set last year, Lamb Of God are set to destroy the place this year (and no doubt the whining fools who are liable to spend the next six months moaning about it will once again be conspicuous by their absence). BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR festival is thrilled to confirm that their 2013 Saturday night headliner will be groove-metal overlords, LAMB OF GOD.

The headline appearance will only be the Richmond, VA-based band’s second UK show since the release of their critically lauded ‘Resolution’ album back in January 2012.  The riff-stacked album bulldozed on to the US Billboard album chart at #3 and racked up Top 20 status in the UK, cementing their status as natural successors to Pantera’s post-thrash crown.  As Metal Hammer put it, “There’s still no band on this planet that rips faces and sets heads banging like Lamb Of Oh-My-Fucking God.  Outstanding.”  Check out the video for ‘Ghost Walking’, the lead video track from ‘Resolution’ here:
