Paves Unleash Debut Track

Described, and I think accurately, as “a smoky, blues-driven track with vocalist Luke Shield echoing a young Jim Morrison alongside chic wah-wah guitar lines and a funky 60’s inspired groove, creating a striking and sharp blend of rock ‘n’ roll”, Paves have arrived with this excellent track that takes me back to teenage years fuelled by the likes of Spiritualized, Iggy Pop and Spacemen 3. Like the best psychedelic grooves, ‘dancing ’til the end of time’ seems to be fuelled by lascivious intent and the raw, analogue sounding production gives the band an authenticity that is quite irresistible.

For those with a taste for detail, here is the official press release:

Psychedelic rockers Paves have just revealed their debut track ‘Dancing ‘til The End Of Time’. Premiered on The Digital Fix who describe the track as  ”…a seriously quality three minutes plus that strongly echoes the emerging rock scene of the 60s and 70s. Think Jimi Hendrix meets The Doors and you’ll be somewhere in the ball park.”

‘Dancin ‘Til The End Of Time’ is a smoky, blues-driven track with vocalist Luke Shield echoing a young Jim Morrison alongside chic wah-wah guitar lines and a funky 60’s inspired groove, creating a striking and sharp blend of rock ‘n’ roll. Yet their vintage influences stand proudly alongside a youthful, modern take on indie rock that sets them alongside the varied likes of Temples, Jake Bugg and Arctic Monkeys.

The band are a London four-piece who over the last twelve months have been building a solid fan base under a number of previous monikers, gigging across the capital’s top clubs and venues, solidifying their sound and live show to become Paves.

And now with ‘Dancing ‘Til The End Of Time’ Paves are ready to move into the spotlight and unfurl their banner as one of the most exciting new bands for 2016.”

Paves have the following upcoming shows:

Upcoming shows:
11th Nov – Upstairs at The Garage w / The Dirty Thrills
18th Nov – The Lexington w / Hidden Charms
25th Nov – Brooklyn Bowl
