German thrash metal legends TANKARD have unleashed a lyric video for the song “Syrian Nightmare“.
Frontman Gerre states:
“This is a song with a really serious message: It’s about those catastrophic conditions in Syria where countries from all over the world try to enforce their power interests. And as always, the people suffer endlessly. That’s what makes us enormously sad, but also angry since everyone’s just watching; massacres become a daily routine. I realised this even more when I was recording the song’s vocals, so they turned out very aggressive.”
TANKARD released their highly praised 17th studio album One Foot In The Grave on June 2nd via Nuclear Blast Records.
“One Foot In The Grave” was recorded at Gernhart Studio (Troisdorf,Germany) together with producer MartinBuchwalter (DESTRUCTION, SUIDAKRA) in January 2017.The new artwork was brought to life by PatrickStrogulski, who is a student of Sebastian Krüger, the former TANKARD cover artist. He also created the cover artworks for A Girl Called Cerveza and R.I.B..
