Wireless 2022 Adds A Plethora Of New Artists

Gopuff delivers Wireless Festival 2022 has just announced the final additions to this year’s line-up. Nigerian afro-pop icon Wizkid has been added as special guest to the Friday line-up at Birmingham NEC (8 July) and New York rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie and 2020 MOBO award winner Nines have been added to the Saturday line-up at Crystal Palace (2 July).

Europe’s biggest celebration of black music is taking place across three sites over two weekends. 1-3 July (Crystal Palace) and 8-10 July (Finsbury Park and Birmingham NEC), with UK exclusive performances and headliners A$AP Rocky, J.Cole, Dave, Cardi B, SZA, Nicki Minaj and Tyler, The Creator. Tickets are available here
Lagos-born Wizkid is one of Nigeria’s biggest R&B crossover acts, going global following his 2016 collaboration ‘One Dance’ with beat-master Drake. He has seen universal success, selling out three successive dates at London’s O2 Arena and releasing the now Grammy-nominated “Essence” (featuring Tems), which became the first Nigerian song to chart in the Billboard Hot 100. His impact on the UK, US and Nigerian R&B scenes is immeasurable, with his joyous afrobeat-laden pop uniting his Lagosian heritage and culture into a rhythmic banquet that is fast conquering the globe. This will be the first time he’s performed at Gopuff delivers Wireless Festival since 2017.

Having received co-signs from both Nas and 50 Cent, A Boogie wit da Hoodie is making waves in the trap-hop world. Blowing up with his 2018 LP ‘Hoodie SZN’, Boogie’s bright melodies and relatable lyrics have seen him go triple-platinum with hit single ‘Walking’. He has collaborated with the likes of Lil Uzi Vert, finding huge commercial success with later releases ‘Artist 2.0’ and 2021’s EP ‘B4 AVA’. A bonafide hit-maker and one to watch.

This will be North-West London rapper Nines debut performance at Gopuff delivers Wireless Festival. Nines led the grime scene into its golden age with his blunt, honest recollections of council estate life. His debut mixtape ‘From Church Road to Hollywood’ came out in 2012 to critical acclaim. It was followed by a slew of releases that saw the multi-hyphenate win a MOBO for both his 2020 album ‘Crabs In A Bucket’ and ‘Best Hip-Hop Act’, leading the new wave of contemporary rap.
